The Performance Agency presents a new edition of its performative cruise Another Map to Nevada. Invited by the contemporary art centre KRONE COURONNE, the project welcomes a Swiss audience for the first time aboard a boat journey across the lakes and canals linking Neuchâtel to Biel. All along the way, performances spring up on the banks and bridges it passes, like so many astonishing landscapes. Another Map to Nevada is a tribute to the fleeting moment, an invitation to wonder.
Another Map to Nevada has previously been staged in Berlin and Copenhagen in collaboration with Supportico Lopez and Archivio Conz, and Den Frie Udstilling and Huset Theater, respectively. It received an award from the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) in 2021. The title Another Map to Nevada refers to the avant-garde artist Robert Delford Brown. In 1964 he founded "The First National Church of the Exquisite Panic, Inc." (FUNKUP for short). Of orthodox pagan belief, its principal deity is called WHO? as in "We don't know where we're going, but WHO? knows! knows!"
