Kroum

Kroum returns home to his native village. He comes back from his travels empty-handed; he has accomplished nothing, experienced nothing, gained nothing and learned nothing, except the conviction that human beings fall definitively into two categories: those who know how to enjoy life and those who are incapable of it. The neighbourhood he returns to is joyfully alive with a host of comical and fragile characters. Kroum, the prodigal son, has many plans – writing a novel, falling in love, having a better life – but everything he dares to undertake ends in a flop. His friends and neighbours are just like him: cheerful losers. This zany crew spends a crazy amount of energy trying to improve its lot. A dazzling farce featuring anti-heroes as hilarious as they are endearing.
